‘NCIS’ Star Vanessa Lachey Announces Family Is Leaving Hawaii for ‘Next Adventure’

NCIS: Hawai'i star Vanessa Lachey is taking the cancellation of her TV series in stride, deciding to move on with her family to the "next adventure."

Vanessa took to Instagram to share the big news that her family was moving away from Hawaii after spending three years living there to accommodate filming for her show.

In a series of photos, Vanessa, her husband Nick Lachey, and their three kids wore multiple leis as they posed together enjoying the beautiful landscape. Vanessa looked stunning in a bright green patterned dress and heels while Nick wore a tropical-patterned shirt and brown shorts.

The second snap showed the whole family together, with Vanessa and Nick sharing a kiss as their kids smiled brightly, while the third photo was of the couple holding hands and walking away from the camera.

"'A Hui Hou' ❤️ Home is where the heart is… Hawai’i, you will always have my heart!" the 43-year-old wrote in the caption. "Mahalo Nui Loa for 3 beautiful, magical years you gave me and my family! Now, on to the next adventure. Off into the sunset we go! #LacheyPartyOf5 #AlohaSpirit."

Fans in the comments were still sad that NCIS: Hawai'i was canceled, sharing their thoughts and support, such as someone who wrote, "If thus world was fair, you would have had at least 10 more years in Hawai'i. Someone will regret this (bad) decision for sure. You will forever be our Jane Tennant- and we will never stop fighting for more❤️ For now, enjoy life with your beautiful family ❤️."

"This makes my heart hurt, I can’t wait to see what you do next," said another, while a third replied, "A well deserved chapter. Can’t wait for what’s next. Love u ❤️."

Vanessa didn't include any details in her update about where the Lacheys are moving next, but according to Robb Report, Vanessa and Nick bought a house in Los Angeles, Calif. shortly after listing their home in Hawaii. Their new home was built in 2023 and reportedly has a pool, game room, basketball court, movie theater and more.
